Wednesday [1 to 5]

Morning, all!  Welcome to midweek.

5.  Julia on doctors refusing to see patients

I said at the time that the right way to do this was not to offer the greedy bastards more money, it was to cut the money of those refusing to do what they are paid for.

I was right.

4.  If the news is heavily Americo-centric

… today, that’s because the MSM here is fit only for loo roll and there are very few worthwhile British blogs covering issues in the way the press should.  Local rags are in the same deep captcha, Twitter did give local updates but I’m shut out there.  Guido is the only major British politics blogger and he’s so far up Johnson’s fundament as to be useless.  Conservative Woman is good, Daily Sceptic now and then, Samizdata is as reliable as ever. Breitbart is controlled opposition, Delingpole good now and then.

If I’ve wronged any great British blog dealing with issues from our perspective a few times a day, my apologies and readers - please link to them in comments.

One area of broad agreement, however, is infrastructure. Nearly all Americans agree that infrastructure, as it is traditionally defined, needs new investment. Freeways, bridges, railroads, dams, aqueducts, seaports, airports, transmission lines, pipelines; all of this needs to be maintained and upgraded. Trillions need to be spent.

But even on issues where there is potential agreement, solutions are now filtered through the lens of polarizing ideologies.

In California, environmental regulations have brought infrastructure investment to a standstill. Without expanding energy, water, and transportation infrastructure, it is nearly impossible to build housing, the cost-of-living is punitive, water is rationed so food is overpriced, the overall quality of life is reduced, and the money that ought to be paying skilled workers to operate heavy construction equipment instead goes into the pockets of environmentalist lobbyists, bureaucrats, litigators, and activist nonprofits.
I used to visit southern California once a year and even back in the 90s, roads were uneven, poorly maintained and the buildings were sooty and grimy - DemRats simply do not care about taking care of people.  A left-liberal is a pretty useless creature, let’s face it, joined by RINOs, over here CINOs, the Uniparty in parliament.

Here, UKIP, over there the Tea Party or similar - I’m wondering how things would have been, had they gained quite a few seats.  Unicorn thinking that - gaining seats.  Do you remember the Great Hope Michelle Bachmann?  Going great guns, gets to Iowa and does the grand entrance, total narcissism.  Somewhere between protesting and being nominated, she lost the plot, someone got to her.

Over here, Nigel sold out to the Tory cabal and killed off TBP.  The closest anyone in the west has got was The Donald, Salvini and maybe Orban.

3.  The Donald

a.  On no one whatever reining in the mad left:
Well, it’s finally happened. The late, great Thomas Jefferson, one of our most important Founding Fathers, and a principal writer of the Constitution of the United States, is being “evicted” from the magnificent New York City Council Chamber. Who would have thought this would ever be possible (I did, and called it long ago!). Next up, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln and, of course, George Washington. The Radical Left has gone crazy, and it’s hurting our Country badly—But someday soon, sane people will be back, and our Country will be respected again!
On the treasonous Powell:

Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and famously, so-called weapons of mass destruction, be treated in death so beautifully by the Fake News Media. Hope that happens to me someday. He was a classic RINO, if even that, always being the first to attack other Republicans. He made plenty of mistakes, but anyway, may he rest in peace!

[Saves a court-martial and execution anyway.]

Oh my. I have heard how that crazy covid vaccination can do quite the number on the heart, brains, lungs and reproductive organs. Now. are you suggesting to me it can kill the Colin too!?!

*Hammerin' Hank died last spring a few days after appearing on the telly in the U.S.of A. He was telling black folks to get vaxxed. He was axed by the vaxx,IMHO.

Now,for reasons of their own, many of them are refusing the jabba! Good for them for logic.

  2. Two guinea pigs I know both pinned 3 times have a dog who started having seizures shortly after the third sleeve roll-up. Short haired dachshund. They have 3 other hairy mutts so far no problem with those. Seizures stopped after a couple of weeks. May be that too is a side effect when the guinea pigs shed.
