15.  Ongoing notes

DAD has just left a comment:

Here's an English translation:
Firefighters put down their helmets and #healthcare workers throw their gowns in front of the prefecture of #Strasbourg against #VaccinationObligatory with suspension even though these professions have denounced the lack of staff for years. #Vaccine obligation
14.  Op Ed of sorts

a.  The data

There's a distinct difference between interpretations of data we're largely agreed on in our half of the sphere ... and sheer narrative bollox from the other side.  Thus there is no way we're posting govt/MSM claptrap which we can be reasonably sure is claptrap and serving govt narrative.

And this includes so called stats, which Daily Sceptic is prone to trot out, unchallenged.  No way, methinks we're a bit beyond that stage, no?  Sometimes it's sent and the idea is that we put up the official lies, then we're meant to debunk them, still leaving the lie sitting there up front.  Very clever. Nope, not doing that.  If it's c*** in the first place, it's not going up.

Thus we're not having a constant diet of BBC, WSJ, Bloomberg, Guardian, anything else woke and leftwing, not even to debunk it.  The BBC is used where there's a question of fact involved, e.g. there was an accident today at ... not much spin they can put on that.  Or Musk's SpaceX flight - well OK, that doesn't need much ferreting.

b.  Chuckles and DR

These two chaps gave the blog a powerful direction and the ferreting abilities of both were first rate.  As for Chuckles - how dare he shuffle off in that particularly mortal way and leave us here.  :)

With DR, I've seen opinions which are wide of the mark. As far as I know, there was no edge to it, he has a project, he wants to spread his wings in his way with his pals and that's good - another source in the sphere.

He had a massive influence, massive thanks, he left quite an archive and ways to get more, but even so, it's difficult to fill a gap like either of those two chaps.  So we get off our backsides, go back to many of their sources and start employing them.  Nothing to cry about whatever.

The thing is - the show goes on, does it not?  Especially with developments and now it's time to praise Steve the Stalwart because he takes no prisoners - my kinda guy.  The other chaps and chapesses, well you know you're included - I'd not arrange the sidebar that way, were it not so.

c.  Constructive criticism

As mentioned many times here - there's criticism by friends, meant to improve us and why not?  But there's also gainsaying and trollery ... I think I can discern which is which.

One fair criticism IMHO was that while it's undoubtedly necessary to draw from as many good sources as poss and no one is criticising our chaps and chapesses in any way - still, I myself need to get back into the ferreting biz and present posts in the way I used to do.  We're such a prolific blog here that it's quite possible to do both - there's no zero sum going on after all.

Unless I missed it.. isn't this what we've been waiting for? - now who's going to get this out..

I never bother jumping through Epoch Times hoops - the pop-ups, the hard sell, but the headlines still come through:

More news from France.

Hackers stole the personal data of around 1.4 million people who took Covid-19 tests in France in 2020, hospital officials disclosed on Wednesday.

The theft affects around 1.4 million people who took tests in the greater Paris Île-de-France region in the middle of 2020, according to the complaint, although no exact dates were given.

A total of 3,000 French health workers have been suspended from work and several dozen have resigned as enforcement begins of compulsory vaccination for healthcare staff in France.

Wednesday marked the deadline for health and emergency workers to present to their employer proof of vaccination against Covid and on Thursday health minister Olivier Véran told RTL that 3,000 suspensions have been reported in hospitals, nursing homes and medical centres of unvaccinated workers.

Several dozen more have resigned, he added.

One of France’s biggest public sector unions, the hardline CGT, has warned of a “health catastrophe” if the government suspends large numbers of health workers and bars private-sector doctors from practising.

9.  Rossa's mother clarifies

Here's the fuller text [I'm guessing this is Andrew Torba]:
Recently the German government has been coming at Gab hard to try and
force us to comply with their draconian online censorship laws. We have
obviously refused to do so and now they are coming after us with fines
of tens of thousands of dollars and other legal action. Our lawyers
informed us that we have three options:

1) Obey German censorship laws and start censoring content that the
German Govt doesn't like (not going to happen)
2) Disobey German censorship laws and pick a fight with the nation state
of Germany (I wouldn't ever be able to leave the US again, they would
come at us from every possible angle through state-sponsored
deplatforming, and Lord knows what else.)
3) Cease providing this service in Germany by blocking German IPs.

So obviously a very difficult decision, but one that must be made very
soon. I wanted to share with you all to be fully transparent with what
is going on.

  1. There is something rotten in the state of......France.

I have been digging into the various claims and numbers to do with the Health and Elderly Care Home staff.
    1) There are about 2.7 million workers in that sector of the economy.
    2) About 89.3% are double jabbed.
    3) There have been about 3000 persons suspended from work who do not have Covid Passports.
    4) This represents “1 – 2%” of the workforce.

    1) And 2) The 10% not double jabbed represents about 270,000 workers
    4) 1% and 2% of the workforce equals from 2,700 to 5,400 workers
    3) The lower figure is approximately equal to the 3,000 claimed to be suspended.
This means that there are {270,000 - 3000} workers who have not been double jabbed. i.e. 263,000 who, potentially, will be suspended unless double jabbed by October 15th, when all staff will be required to present a certificate of full vaccination.

    Interesting times ahead.
