Bizarre ideas of beauty

All right, maybe I'm quite out of step with aesthetic ideas of the current day but this YT by Ruairidh MacVeigh illustrates that the world's ideas on beauty and elegance are very much not mine:


To my mind, they were all ugly in that YT, except for one there was a passing glimpse of - the Buick Lesabre [1985]:



Apart from the straighter sides, I'd point to the rear side windows - truly, the design below, by comparison, is as ugly as sin itself:


As ugly as any other buzzbox then and now.  Competition?  By what criteria?  Here's a current version:


Pregnant pastie, like every other plastic and alloy pregnant pastie on the road now and every other  hardriding buzzbox.

Even my own temperamental baby in London was better than all but the Buick above, which was only for American roads.  Mine was perfect for roads outside of London, better on the backroads though.
