Wednesday [5 and 6]

6.  When the scurrilous is quite fun

When The Sun asked if Rayner and Tarry were having an intimate relationship, they got the reply:
“Any suggestion that she has made any appointment based upon anything other than professional merit, experience and ability will be considered highly defamatory.”
Which is of course a denial that she gave his a career leg-up, not that he got a leg-over …
Love it.  Not even the slightest suggestion of a Clegg legover, not taken up in the least by social media - that would be ... well ... baseless ... and scurrilous.  Yep.  :)

Also quite fun:
Carolyn Harris – even according to allies of Starmer – was “a bit of a liability”
Left leaning, Woke females do leave themselves wide open, don't you feel?  An invitation to all comers ... to criticise.

5.  Snippets

a.  Distant Relative:

Psst! It is Ascension Day on Thursday. Just thought I'd mention it.

b.  Housekeeping - think I need to restrategise this "nameday" arrangement of posts.

Rather than add to or change the code in the sidebar gadget, if "nameday" posts are always four points or one [meaning a politics feature post], then the four points would often include a "snippets" section for random thoughts from whomever.

Op eds I'd run as single political posts.  This would be supplemented by feature posts, e.g. history, aircraft, wimmin on bikes, music, films etc.

c.  Gab reports - Iran's state television reported Wednesday that the country's former firebrand president will run again for office in upcoming elections in June.

d.  Seems to me Gab is so Americo-centric now, plus run by Gateway Pundit.  GP is certainly a source we use here ... but Gab is not yet the platform we'd hoped it would become.

e.  Breitbart – 11 Years On, Tories Have Embraced Big Govt and Sold Out Northern Ireland: DUP MP

Duh.

f.  Also Breitbart - Vaccine Passport for International Travel Will Soon Be on NHS App, UK Govt Confirms

Double duh.  clear what we all need to refrain from doing then.

g.  Also also Breitbart - Maria Cantwell Uses Anti-China Plan to Possibly Steer $10 Billion Moon Landing Contract to Bezos-Owned Space Company in Her State

Yes, she does cant well.

In addition to the letter written by (mostly) retired officers, a new letter has been written by anonymous serving officers.

Notice the dismounting from the bike and "accidentally" kicking the girl in the region of the face; the spitting (especially the boy in red); the pushing and the walking away when the lass falls on the line between the platform and the train.

I am sorry that the are in the French language, bur Google Translate will do the necessary.

    1. French language is fine - we all learnt it at skool, no? Along with Teutonic and a smattering of 1588?

    2. No, we didn't. Some schools in our area did French, others German or Spanish. My school did... Russian.
