4.  As Martin Cole says

... interesting choice of words from Farage IMO:

A strong and disciplined Trump at CPAC today. He still dominates the Republican Party and will be a very effective opposition leader. Go Donald!

Bizarre choice of words which reflects the pond between the two nations and Nigel in M25 gagaland.

3.  Tim Newman and publishing books

I tried that [selling for $10]. Nobody is going to buy your book for $10, even established independent authors can’t charge that. You’re looking at around $3-5. And an editor will charge you at least $1k, and trust me, you need an editor. Then there’s the cover art.

Yes, true, which is why I decided not to publish but just put it online and link from the blog. One reason is that the market is absolutely flooded with cheap fiction, fanboi stuff quite often, written by people who [cough] really shouldn't be.  I do not exclude myself there.

Then there is that resistance factor to someone who writes in one form, e.g. punditry but then writes in another. There were people who avidly wanted to read of my real experiences in Russia back then but when I turned it into novel form, interest evaporated, except for certain people who had a good reason to read it, given that it did include what I'd personally done in Russia.

2.  Snippets today

Martin Cole:

As in the UK the effective Deputy PM threatens that food may not be sold in supermarkets to the non-vaccinated & BBC hints at penalties for home food sales. Our monarch is reported to have described refusers of inadequately tested new technology vaccines as selfish but is it so?

Neil McEvoy:

Just had a report of a couple being confronted by police, with husband arrested & then strip searched. The alleged  crime was driving to a beach & buying an ice cream. We are not talking a huge distance either. Getting details.

Ashley St Claire:

Trump just referred to Melania as the “future First Lady”.

The unprecedented psychological war conducted by the British Government against its own people continues to be a particularly pernicious and shameful aspect of this sorry episode, especially given the openly far-left agenda driving some of the individuals on the SAGE SPI-B sub-committee, aided and abetted by the BBC and other mainstream media outlets.
