11. This will count ... or it will not

In the letter (pdf), Ratcliffe alleges that intelligence about China’s election interference was suppressed by management at the CIA, which pressured analysts to withdraw their support for the view.

Those things hardly need going over again by us, but by courts with impartial judges. Where is one of those to be found, let alone a bench of judges? Answer of course is they can’t be found.

Much has been made of whether DJT does more than issue pardons, whether the number of troops is for one last glimmer of hope, even triumph, for the American people.  I’m making no call on that, how can any of us know?

We know many ifs - if he does not do anything, if he just departs, if satan’s spawn do actually take all branches, do walk in and soil the WH ... many ifs.

10. AK Haart on Sage

https://akhaart.blogspot.com/2021/01/not-so-sage.html

At some point, it may become clear even to SAGE members that the virus isn't actually listening and there is no evidence that the government was ever able to control rates of infection to any measurable degree. How would SAGE members prove otherwise? Run the whole thing again with a different policy?

9. The false deplorable

The media wants you to think that Ben Shapiro isn't actually on their side:

What we have here is the worst enemy of them all - the one masquerading as a radical or alt-right or whatever you wish to call it [e.g. Cruz going to the 'inauguration' after all] but he always backslides or folds when the heat is on. He beats the drum in front of the cameras, then makes deals and tries to be what he calls 'responsible', citing utter claptrap about respect for the institutions, for 'stability' - he is the treacherous backslider, far worse than evil muvvers like Pelosi because he wastes our time and lets us down. Wonder which Dante rung he'll be on.

8. K9 in space

In 1944, British captives of the Japanese in Sumatra drew morale from an unlikely source: a purebred English pointer who cheered the men, challenged the guards, and served as a model of patient fortitude. In this week’s episode of the Futility Closet podcast we’ll tell the story of Judy, the canine POW of World War II.

  3. Thanks, chaps. Have noticed that links are unlinked in Blogger comments. Not a tragedy but it’s still that extra step for everyone.

  4. One of my comments didn't get through last night. Hmmm. Contained a tweet with an interview. Big Cheese with the NG let slip why they were there at DC - to ensure peaceful transfer of military - I forget the exact phrase.

That's the tweet I left last night. https://twitter.com/Red_Pill_Pharma/status/1351223273812582404?s=20

See if it goes through today.
