[highway robbery] who'd eat confectionery now

A simple 158g pack of M&Ms has gone to £1.99 today compared to £1.59 a few days ago. And another thing - be careful not to confuse the small, brown cylindrical shaker of chocolate for your coffee with the small, brown cylindrical shaker of pepper for your main meal.

  1. Watch out for the Bassetts Jelly Babies in Sainsbury's. The larger cardboard box works out as more expensive than buying several smaller plastic bags.

The bulk buying is no longer economical in this respect. Monitor the labels on the shelf as well as on the packet. Check the price per 100g, and compare.

  2. Those aren't good for you anyway ;-)

Once had some stewed rhubarb when salt hand mistakenly been used instead of sugar!

  3. Are those the peanut ones? They're not a health worry.

(I wonder whether Aldi do an imitation - we find that a lot of their stuff is pretty good. On the subject of their olive oil, "Which" has only just caught up with us.)
