[department of pre-crime] preventive indefinite detention

People were warned. It was shown clearly that he did not qualify as president, the people who vote for him did so knowing he'd do these things and yet they thought he would do some good things for them too.

Has anyone seen the film Minority Report? Incarcerated to PREVENT crime? Heaven help America because no one else is going to. Please view the video.

  1. Yet, HE, himself, is the biggest threat to American's life, liberties and freedoms.

"YES, WE CAN!" Has a whole different ring to it now!

But the American people saw his ineligibility under the Constitution as no biggy, and likewise, not realize he's going to destroy all their rights and protection a few clauses at a time, they won't flinch until belatedly they realize EVERY American is vulnerable under this 'law' and it's not just foreigners they're rounding up!

  3. I think many Americans don't even understand the importance of Habeus Corpus within our law; not to mention search and seizure, right to self-defense...

I thought the Oathkeepers video with the Arizona Sheriff very interesting. (via YouTube)

the whole 'yes we can' refrain troubles me. There's something just not right when a man who is supposed to be running our country refers to a saying from a childrens television show (Bob, the builder).

(or maybe there's something wrong with the people cheering him on and who think he'll be dropping manna from the sky, next)

oh, my, here I go again getting all riled up...this is not the country my mother's ancestors helped to make nor the one my father emigrated to :(

  5. Well people thought they were going to get a balance. Some good and some bad. Seems like he is only doling out the bad. Never mind. It's change and that is what was wanted.

  6. I guess you missed the part about the 8 years of whatsit, that guy from Texas.

I now have to walk barefoot through the airport checkin 'cause he was afraid of some chump trying light the heel of his shoe with a match. (a (A) match for christ sake)

CherryPie; yes it does sound familiar
Ubermouth; beg to differ, i say Dick Cheney is the man for that job.
Ubermouth; thank god for James, but i'm glad he is in england, can't vote for Dick Cheney
His Girl; i think you mean that guy from Texas don't even understand Habeus Corpus.
LordT; yes that is what i wanted, change.

Pete Seeger wrote a song back in 1963, CBS objected, but it finally got out 'bout 1968, the refrain goes something like this:

We were -- knee deep in the Big Muddy,
But the big fool said to push on.
We were -- waist deep in the Big Muddy
And the big fool said to push on.
We were -- neck deep in the Big Muddy
And the big fool said to push on.
And we just made it out of the Big Muddy
With the captain dead and gone.

We stripped and dived and found his body
    Stuck in the old quicksand.
I guess he didn't know that the water was deeper
Than the place he'd once before been.
Another stream had joined the Big Muddy
'Bout a half mile from where we'd gone.
We were lucky to escape from the Big Muddy
When the big fool said to push on.

Mr. Seeger is 90 this year.
