[christmas lunch] how was yours

First modest portion. After three of these, with veg from a bain marie on the second and third, it was time to tackle the trifle, Christmas pud with brandy sauce and then ...

... to just peg out.

How was your day?

  1. Christmas wishes from cambridge... where we are all feeling a bit stuffed after a great dinner with all the trimmings :-)

  2. Dinner was delicious, but I stuck to one portion and a small rum truffle ;-)

  3. Dinner was great- though I was suffering from a bad bout of flu so didn't appreciate it as much as I should have! But it was a godo Christmas.

  4. Thanks for those reports, folks and the cat is of the temperament I like. She doesn't like excessive handling and if a person approaches her wrongly, she lashes out.

Treated the right way, she starts purring and will never stay far from you. She's also inexpensive to run and let's you get on with things.

  5. I ate rather too many piggies in blankets than I think is good for me James, but still it is tradition.

Off to walk it off with the dog now.

    Best Wishes

  6. My wife made ice-cream from the frozen Cambridge Late Pine strawbs we grew last summer. And spicy apple sauce for the goose from our own Lane Prince Albert. The Pinot Noir came from an NZ vineyard where we stayed overnight a couple of years ago. It was, you may say, satisfactory.

  7. MJW - just a walkin' the dog. Hope you reduced your Christmas footprint.

Dearieme - profoundly satisfactory, I should have thought.
