[empire class flying boat] the need for a rear deck

"Oh for the days of the roomy Empire class flying boats that actually had an (inside) promenade deck." [Gallimaufrey]

That's as may be, Gallifmaufrey ... but I still feel the need for a rear deck and railing, lovely though the promenade deck was.

  1. Then get yourself an aircraft of pod and boom layout eg Argosy, Noratlas, C-119 and a qualified aircraft engineer and, provided you can keep the airflow smooth over the opening, Bob's your uncle. You will need to check with the CAA about patio heaters.

  4. In the early seventies I worked on the Sydney Harbour Bridge and watched the flying boats take off from Rose Bay to Lord Howe island.
They reckon the best partying ever was on those flights.
