[drunk passengers] rear deck urgently required

What the hell is going on these days? Here it is again:

Two drunk British women went on a rampage on a charter plane, trying to hit a flight attendant with a bottle of vodka and attempting to open a cabin door as the aircraft was cruising over Austria at 10,000 metres, police said today.
Just posted on that recently and so we have more evidence that we need a rear deck and railing on aircraft.

It's simple. Passenger gets drunk, is issued with an auto-opening parachute and food pack, then courteously shown the rear deck exit.

He or she does the rest.

  1. The answer seems obvious to me - no alchohol in aircraft. If folk don't like it, go by sea.

  2. Could be the solution, at least these days with these people but what of the ordinary passenger?

  3. I suppose the parachute is necessary. Might be complaints otherwise.

  4. Stop serving alcohol on the planes and keep those already drunk, off!

  5. I agree with aileni and nunyaa, there is not need to have alcohol in planes and I don't really think the ordinary passenger would complain much about it.

Surely they can go without a drink for a few hours?

Sounds good to me; I see no reason to ban alcohol. I don't see alcohol as an excuse for acting like a jackass. That's like blaming forks for people getting fat. People are responsible for themselves, if they lay any claim to being an adult. If someone gets drunk and unruly, it is their fault, and there is no reason to issue restrictions on everyone else.
    Just my opinion.

  7. Perhaps the auto open feature could be optional..... If they really wanted to plummet to their deaths why stop them!

  8. I think alcohol is used as an excuse... if I had a had a few drinks whilst flying I would NEVER behave that way!

There is something wrong with society that allows people to think and behave this way. It isn't the alcohol but the attitude of the person that leads to this behavior!

  9. Good thinking, people. It's also right that people should take responsibility for their behaviour.

  10. I can very easily go without an alcoholic drink on a flight, but why should I? I have had many a whisky or a glass of wine at thirty-odd thousand feet. You cannot keep banning things because a tiny minority of people abuse a right. Chery Pie is right when she says there is something wrong with society, as I, like her, would never dream of doing such a thing drunk or sober.
