[thought for the day] sunday evening

On this auspicious Sunday, some words of wisdom from 1744:

Truth is the cry of all but the game of the few.

  1. The truth is only worth the opportunity it cost you.

  2. Coincidentally (re Berkeley's tar water), I recently watched a programme by Ray Mears, the wilderness survivalist. He was in Belarus and demonstrated how the Jewish partisans in their frest hideouts in WW2 made pine tar. It had lots of uses but one was to treat rashes, and apparently was always effective.

  3. I would say the catch word lately seems to be 'SPIN' by a master, himself.

  4. Nice Quote James.

I watched the same show as Sackerson, I wish I could remember the name of the partisan group. An amazing group

  5. Well James it seems that JMB has her way and I'm excluded, interestingly they are not prepared to say how many of their members voted and which way merely that JMB got her way.

Oh well better to be outside that tent of (mostly) wankers pissing in rather than on the inside getting wet.

  7. Now now Colin I will do my best to avoid peeing on you.

Can't say the same for some of the others though.

  8. Seems like the truth is not a commodity worth seeking in B.P, but what's new in the kangaroo court?

Will there be cake at the new head's( Mugabe Joe) inauguration?

    Well, he's no James Higham.
