Please don't present this as "bringing religion into politics". On all major human based issues there is a parliamentary precedent for a conscience vote so why not on this? Who is to decide this is not a matter of private conscience?
I'm not a Catholic but I say well done to these three on standing up on a question of principle. If only more of us would stand up and say, about this issue or that, this is wrong.
How long is it since we saw any Labour politician do that?

This is but one aspect of an ID card with biometric/DNA/Medical records, etc, etc.

What further confirms my thoughts is the fact that children of "celebrities/politicians" will be excluded from this "open to all" database

This refers to my previous comments about banks, ermm, fibbing. The 2 banks mentioned were to be the main contributors to the bail-out of the US distressed monolines, - they had the most to loose if the monolines failed. It would seem that finally the FT gets round to seeing it!

ReplyDeleteWhen you post links to the FT, you have to be a little bit sneaky.
Look closely at the code behind my latest link, (via properties),
Now click on the link, and observe the end few letter/numbers that FT adds to the opened window.
If you now post the "new" code, the result will be FT wanting you to dance the hoops.
Remove the additional code before reposting and everything is OK.
I've noticed in the past when you've linked to FT, that that happens.

ReplyDeleteWell Jacqui Smith has just announced her plan to introduce the ID cards and after the show by our MP's yesterday it's enough to make me want to ship out.
ReplyDeleteI watched the Aaron Ruso interview and he suggested that the "elite" will basically end up with a card/chip that says kiss my ass leave me alone (based on his conversation with Nick Rockefeller).
What a joke this is all turning into.
I'm all for people, including MPs standing by their principles. But just one thing here and that is these people are supposed to be voting on behalf of their electorate. Should they not explore the feelings there before voting. Am I naive?
