I'm never surprised any more about who owns what as there seems to be no correlation any more. I found out recently that eBay owns Skype and it's doing them in because it isn't making the gobs of money they thought it would. When a big business has extra cash (or loan potential) it buys things, often not related to themselves.
I would not have though that the BBC had any spare cash however.
You saw this? So now you need never be anywhere in the world without the BBC world view right beside you.
