[paris hilton] justice in the world

The release of this sad monstrosity, even if she has been dog-tagged, is a clear travesty but even more nauseating is the way groups have jumped on the bandwagon:

Civil rights leader Rev Al Sharpton condemned the release as showing the "double standards" of the US legal system.

"This early release gives all of the appearances of economic and racial favouritism that is constantly cited by poor people and people of colour," he said. "There are any number of cases of people who handle being incarcerated badly and even have health conditions that are not released."

This blogger, stangely, feels a sort of pity for her - she can't help her roots. Nevertheless, in a week of Awards, Paris is hereby presented with the Liz Hurley Award, in the category: "Famous for being Famous". Well done, Paris!

  3. She can't help her roots, but she can help the way she (mis)behaves.

  4. Ah, James!

Not a fan of Ms Hilton, but as a teenager had a HUGE crush on Liz Hurley...

Barbaric as I think the whole idea of the prison system is in this century, many others endure it for much, much longer and receive less pity.

  5. She's a total waste of space and I just wonder who promised what to whom to get her out. I can't believe the news channels are even covering this.

  6. Jumping on the bandwagon??? By commenting and comparing the situation with the usual situation. Even your article starts off with a comment.

My blog however has made no such comment now I have moved upmarket. Triggered, of course, by being nominated for those BlogPower awards I shall refrain from entering the grubby mass media market and it's interest in tittle tattle. Even tittle tattle on such a wonderful person as, err, whots that slappers name again?

  7. Note: Al Sharpton still has not paid the taxes he evaded in the state of New Jersey, or for the lawsuit he lost for fraud in the Tawana Brawley phony rape case. He is a street thug, nothing more. He was also complicit for inciting a crowd, which killed 8 people.
